JC, this makes me think about all the untold dog stories that only they know. Our Leny was an "unclaimed stray" in Ohio, and was brought to New Hampshire from a kill shelter. We look into her eyes and murmur, "Unclaimed stray? How could that be?"
I loved this. It does make me wonder how many stories are out there just like this. The lady that ran the Sanctuary was a wonderful person to have gone way beyond the point of duty to discover that this dog had had a family. It is touching and it's sad but it does show human ingenuity. Very touching story. Thanks for posting it.
Anyone that would like to help the Kelley family get a place that would allow dogs, please go to this website: http://ellaextrodianary.viviti.com/ Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

That is so sad. To find her owners and have them not be able to take her.
I liked the story though ...
