(My daughter even got tickets at the polling place to hear James Taylor in a free concert for Obama!) And my husband and I are voting Friday at our local library. So, that's four votes for change--four votes for Obama here in the swing state of North Carolina. Here's hoping our formerly red state will turn blue!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024200559736996534.post-54917837833601490902008-10-21T10:40:00.000-06:002008-10-21T10:40:00.000-06:00I want it to be over and I want Obama to win but I...I want it to be over and I want Obama to win but I am scared about which way it will go.Judyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12078537002880283509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024200559736996534.post-59344099176596256202008-10-21T10:39:00.000-06:002008-10-21T10:39:00.000-06:00I'm like a pregnant woman two weeks past her due d...I'm like a pregnant woman two weeks past her due date about this election. I'll be so glad when it's over. I cannot think of an election in my lifetime that's as important as this one.

In Oregon we vote by mail. There are no polling places. Patty wouldn't like that. Our ballots are here so I plan sometime today to get them in the mail. I love voting by mail. It works great here in Oregon.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11586429675286969340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024200559736996534.post-52832288430293361202008-10-21T08:11:00.000-06:002008-10-21T08:11:00.000-06:00I just read an interesting article about the effec...I just read an interesting article about the effect of cell-phone-only households on polling. Usually, these households are not surveyed.

"The Pew Research Center looked at the three major political surveys they have conducted since June, comparing the results with cell-phone interviews included against the landline-only figures. They saw "a virtually identical pattern" on all three surveys: "In each case, including cell-phone interviews resulted in slightly more support for Obama and slightly less for McCain, a consistent difference of 2 to 3 points in the margin."

The biggest reason is a large difference they observed among registered voters under 30: Those in cell-phone-only households preferred Obama by a 35-percentage-point margin (62 percent to 27 percent), while Obama led by a much closer margin (52 percent to 39 percent) among those in households with wired phones."

I mailed my absentee ballot over the weekend - god forbid it should rain on election day and I can't get out to the highway to the polls.the7msnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01082802012105875164noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024200559736996534.post-69845511656445013982008-10-21T07:55:00.000-06:002008-10-21T07:55:00.000-06:00I have a little poll going on my blog, should be i...I have a little poll going on my blog, should be interesting.
We have an election day party, big day for us, which means I have never voted early.Pattyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08505042214124811641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024200559736996534.post-59730145413512460192008-10-21T07:20:00.000-06:002008-10-21T07:20:00.000-06:00Regardless of what anyone says, it could still go ...Regardless of what anyone says, it could still go either way.Margie's Musingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com
