I had some research books on mystical 'monsters' for wont of a better word. There are many things that we just don't understand or can't explain. Have you read Mabel Dodge Luhan's book about when she first came to New Mexico? She writes about something she was told regarding the Pueblo mystical experiences. Unfortunately the book is in Tucson; so I don't have the title but it's probably online somewhere. Also Frank Waters books are good if you haven't come across them yet on the Hope and Navajo.
