I did read of a zoo in Mexico where the heater failed and dozens of animals died in this cold weather. Such a terrible thing. Hope all is well soon for you.Sara Chapmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09214457461065579296noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024200559736996534.post-3658387864227951322011-02-05T11:09:04.645-07:002011-02-05T11:09:04.645-07:00That is some photo! Frozen pipes are no fun to deal with...we had a little go-'round with that when we lived in Centreville, VA... That little repair project sucked up more money than I want to remember, but partly because LT had set out to do his own "fix" to our problem. Probably a good thing you stopped Beez with the big hammer!Deb from WhatsInMyAttichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11126246734744950335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024200559736996534.post-89830623080693487952011-02-05T10:41:53.140-07:002011-02-05T10:41:53.140-07:00So sorry to hear that you are frozen ... we're...So sorry to hear that you are frozen ... we're just rainy.JChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13434534658681194289noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024200559736996534.post-68583712667634166722011-02-05T08:04:18.841-07:002011-02-05T08:04:18.841-07:00Sorry about your pipes. The minimum construction standards in more temperate areas needs to be raised a little.Yogi♪♪♪https://www.blogger.com/profile/00411274031147372579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024200559736996534.post-89114361314094207332011-02-05T07:35:13.830-07:002011-02-05T07:35:13.830-07:00I feared you were dealing with something like this...I feared you were dealing with something like this when there were no posts for the past few days. Yes, I think the temps have set some records. We had a low of 15 below (-22 with the wind chill) on thursday. <br />On wednesday, I believe our hi was 4! But yesterday, a balmy hi of 35!! Our laundry pipes froze at the complex I live at ( I knew I should have done laundry earlier in the week!) I have a friend in Taos- they've shut down all the Gas there... so no heat except space heaters. In attempts to save gas in Santa Fe, they closed the schools, state buildings, even the National Lab @ Los Alamos on friday! The misfortune of the the person w/ the broken pipe does make for a great photo, though. Well, enjoy your weekend... hope things work out on those pipes of yours!beckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02070619577137197512noreply@blogger.com
