I love those blue skies, we have them like that here in Colorado too. The hike in your post below looks awesome, but I certainly wouldn't try it in midsummer. I tend towards the higher-altitude hikes this time of year, as they're much cooler.
Ben, the neighbors agree my "tornado" was probably a microburst--the storm was fierce, the damage quite localized (just our road). Pix coming on the blog next week.
