A Walk Around the Alameda-Depot Historic District: Part 2

You can read about this neighborhood, located in an older section of Las Cruces, in Part 1.

A small house with an even smaller casita (little house, or guest house) out back

Imagine how everything will look when the leaves come out and the flowers bloom in spring

Lovely lamp posts

  1. You say "Imagine how everything will look when the leaves come out and the flowers bloom in spring" We were covered in 1/2 inch of ice for the last week, finally washed away by a warm rain yesterday, ging a preview of New England's 5th season - mud. Difficult to imagine anything more but then again, we cannot wait for the LC experience! Save some warming weather for us...

  2. Be careful now...keep showing all this quaintness and Cruces will experience a population boom.

  3. I like the little houses but the lamp post is too cool ...

  4. What a charming place! I love that they seem to have a lot of sidewalks there so you can actually walk. And I love all the different architectural styles in the neighborhood. I'm looking forward to your pictures in the spring. Heck, after the weather here for the past few weeks, I'm just looking forward to spring, period.
