Light Up the City for Skywatch

There's a certain time of day, after a bit of overcast, when the sun breaks through and the city of Las Cruces is lit up in a golden kind of light. It's even more lovely against the dark mountains and cloudy skies.

For skies from all over the world, be sure to visit Skywatch Friday.

  1. Heavenly skies as always, Clairiz! Isn't it wonderful when we can see them before we go to bed or the first thing in the morning. You sound so much happier since you moved to Las Cruces and I'm so happy for all of you! Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Sylvia, I really tried to find the best in Clovis, but it was not the place for me. You are absolutely right, we are enjoying life much more in Las Cruces.

  3. This photo brings back so many memories:

GOOD: sitting on your patio watching the sunset, relaxing by the Kiva, drinking beers and eating Bill's enchiladas, drinking Italian cream sodas...
    NOT GOOD: dog licks (LOL)!

  7. Isn't it amazing how the sun will light up one area more than another. I used to live in New Mexico and the lighting there is like no place else. Excellent capture!

  10. Your light is wonderful, is it sunrise? My farm sometimes gets painted in just that splendid colour where the sheep even turn a red-gold. Unfortunately we are only surrounded by foothills, not your mountain range.

Thanks for coming over and your most complimentary comment.

  13. There's nothing better, I think, than open space, mountains, and great light. This is a terrific combination, Clair--and once again I'm beyond envious.
