What Emma Saw; for Skywatch

Emma is a quiet, observant little dog. Her back legs have never worked very well and often make it hard for her to get around, so she watches the sky and thinks about things. We know this because on nights when the moon is out she will request some extra time outside in the dark. When we go looking for her, we find her sitting and gazing upward in a thoughtful manner.

She is also a fan of a good sunrise. This is the one she watched the other morning from our porch.

For skies seen through many different eyes, please visit Skywatch Friday. It has Emma's most earnest recommendation.

  2. Emma is such a wonderful doggie! And Yogi is right, perhaps you should think of getting her a camera! Think of the fun you could all have then! Wonderful skies and captures regardless of who took them this time! Hope you and Emma have a wonderful weekend, Clair!

  15. There's nothing better than a pensive pup, unless it's one who likes skywatching!

She sounds like a great dog, Clair--and I still envy your lack of obstructive trees.

  20. Don't you wonder what it is she is thinking about? Once out on the trail in the wilderness, a mule train passed us... all the mules were following along, except one. She lagged behind, and at the crest of the pass, she stopped, turned around and took several minutes to take in the most magnificent view. Sometimes animals are so "human like" that it makes me wonder. Have a nice weekend, Clair.
    Beautiful NM skies!

Thank you for your love and good birthday wishes, Clair---I felt them from all these miles away. The Beth chair must be very powerful. :-)
