We visited La Buena Vida Alpaca Ranch in Anthony, New Mexico not so long ago.
The faces were beautiful
The personalities were tranquil and very calming to us
Everywhere we looked, we saw alpacas we would like to know better
So many colors
And so many comments from the herd
By the way, the ranch, the house, the studio, barn, paddocks, the alpacas, some goats, and a few llamas are all for sale. See La Buena Vida Alpacas for information.
They are truly magical creatures. Their vibe is so sweet and gentle.
ReplyDeleteThey are delightful indeed!! Sweetness on four legs!! Delightful captures for the day, Clairz!! Hope all is going well! Have a lovely weekend!!
ReplyDeleteWhat, oh my gosh that's kind of scary, the whole ranch is for sale? I hope someone wonderful buys it and takes care of those darlings. I just love them!
ReplyDeleteJust this morning I was looking at a local alpaca farm's website to see if there were any for sale. Yes. But my gosh, they cost thousands. Such dear creatures.
ReplyDeleteNan, the alpacas from breeders do cost a lot. However, I have noticed that people who list them on Craigslist are asking much less. This ranch was started up by an ex-banker, who was looking for a good investment. I'm thinking that it didn't turn out as well as he had hoped.
ReplyDeleteI, too, have been wanting one, but we are pushing the limit on the number of critters we have now. They really are nice critters, so cute, maybe someday I'll have one. The 'wool' (it has another name on alpacas, and I forgot it) can be very valuble from some of them. Some alpaca farmers raise for the fleece to sale to weevers. I have seen things made from it and it is soooo soft.
ReplyDeleteFor Sale?
ReplyDeleteClair, this could be your next career! Clair Zee, Alpaca Farmer. They are pretty dang cute & you could make a lot of Alpaca Sweaters!
