I never buy new clothes. You can call it economy, you can call it social consciousness, you can call it a devotion to recycling. You can even call it Yankee stinginess, if you wish. My clothes--some with pretty fancy labels--come from a charity store that has 10-items-for-$5.00 specials, and all for a good cause. You would never catch me buying even a 50% off item from an expensive shop like this one (see some of their women's clothing here).
But, oh my, I loved those sewing machines.

I shop Target a LOT. I see the prices of big stores and won't buy. Course I don't work so I don't need the 'wardrobe' like I used to.
Neat window, funny name for a store, but I thought that link was gonna' take me to some of your good buys from your favorite thrift store...whew, kind of a sticker shock thing there. (In my wildest imagination I can't imagine paying $295 for a sweater, good grief....!)
That's an amazing window display. You sew too, I assume. Thrift shopping is so darn much fun, esp. after you snag an Eileen Fisher summer black slacks for $2.00!!
Volunteering in a thrift store get's me some pretty nice things too. Just a stunning window. :)
Sigh, yes, this is a UK chain which seems to have bought up all the old sewing machines in existence. We have one in Edinburgh. The clothes inside are hugely overpriced.
I have never been much of a clothes shopper. I think I am hopelessly out of style. Unless the style is outdoorsy, dirt & clay stained. Then, of course, I fit right in. :)
