Click on the photo, then choose "slideshow" to see what we saw on our visit to the Three Rivers Petroglyph Site. Although we found hundreds of amazing petroglyphs, there are apparently thousands more that we missed. .
They are so amazing -- I recently posted petroglyphs and pictographs from Canyon De Chelly and some of them look almost exactly like yours -- give a person a lot to think about don't they?
Very cool. It looks like maybe two at least were made in contemporary times. It's been a long time since I've seen petroglyphs, they are so mysterious and amazing that they lasted so long.

I've always meant to visit a petroglyph site when in New Mexico, but haven't yet. I guess now I have thru your photo.
Now how cool is that last photo - a two-headed donkey/horse. Must have been their way of drawing a mule.
So awesome! Great pics. I've always loved Petroglyphs and have driven past Three Rivers many times. I can't wait to visit someday!
