Southwestern Autumn

Organ Mountains in the distance

I suppose that anyone who has lived in New England will always compare autumn foliage elsewhere to the blazing maples of memory.

Picacho Peak is hiding on the left

However, I loved these golden leaves against the deep blue Southwestern skies, seen as we rode our bikes yesterday along La Llorona Trail. The warm October afternoon and the sight of the Organ Mountains and Picacho Peak in the distance didn't hurt, either.

Beautiful skies and colorful trees and wonderful sunshine!! It does indeed look like a lovely place!! And I do love the mountains!! Wonderful captures for the day! We're enjoying gorgeous, sunny, mild weather in Portland -- somewhat amazing for this time of year, but I'll take it!! Hope your week is going well!! Enjoy!

I could use some of that beautiful sunshine and trees. It's been foggy for weeks here.

It is hard not to compare the blazing maples of Fall in eastern NA with the yellows and golds of elsewhere. But there is certainly a lot of beauty in the foliage you are capturing. Wonderful scenes we are blessed with where you live and where I live too :-)

You are right, maples are blazing beautiful in fall but the Southwest foliage is equally beautiful.
