Bonnie and Clyde? No! Stewart and Eva, family friends in Maine |
I know that you don't come to this blog to hear about my family history, although that's what I've been going on about lately. This is supposed to be a blog about a New Englander coming to New Mexico. However, I am deep into the search for clues to my family's past and for the next little while I will be toiling away on family trees, telling family stories, and posting about the process of searching for ancestors over on the
Remember blog.
I cordially invite you to come along on my journey into the past. In the meantime, please check back here on The Zees Go West, because there will surely be posts here from time to time.
I hope that you all will have the happiest of holiday seasons--Merry! Happy! Joyous!
~Clair Z.

It is wonderful what you are doing and I will be checking in from time to time. Enjoy!!
Of course I will check in. Goodness, that picture does look like the Bonnie and Clyde era. I am sure this couple had a happeir outcome!
Good for you for taking the time to do the important work of recording your family history.
Merry Christmas to you and your household!
Great photo! So stylish. So much character. How are they related to us?
I also love the snowy sun photo too.
Jean, that's Eva Burgess, who is a cousin through our grandfather David's side.
I think it's great that you are doing the family photos.
you are treasured. A friend recently found some of my family history and it is now in a folder. I was excited at first. now, I don't really care. I have so many friends doing this, and I appreciate the information my friend has found about my lineage.
I think I will spend my time more generically, with notes about my ont family.
Charlotte, as I get a family tree made for each section of the family, that gives me the framework I need to commence with the stories for that family. I think that's really the important part; future generations can do the research about who goes where and when, but the stories might get lost. I'm so glad I corresponded with the old folks back in 1999--they have all died since, but back then they were gracious enough to answer my letters with memories of those whose lives stretched back into the 1800s. That's the irreplaceable stuff I am trying to get into the Remember blog.
Hi there, Clair...just wanted to wish you a Happy New Year and to thank you for checking on me. It was lovely to be remembered. I hope to get back in cyberspace soon---until then, I wanted to say how much I appreciate that you're still thinking of me.
I know your children are glad that you're recording the family history---important work, for sure.
Clair, in case you're scratching your head and wondering who in the heck "Bee Kind" is, it's my YouTube alter ego. I didn't realize when I commented that I would show as "Bee." Bee is me. :-)
Beth, I WAS scratching my head, but figured it out from what you said. I'm so glad to hear from you. Please know that you are in my heart.
Hiya Clair,
