Sunrise through hollyhocks Every morning lately I've been watching the rising sun shine through the hollyhocks and have tried to capture what I am seeing with my camera. This shot reminded me of the title of Dylan Thomas' poem, The Force That Through the Green Fuse Drives the Flower. It's lovely, Clair. I love how even the leaves toward the bottom of the frame are backlit.
ReplyDeleteBreathtaking. I've seen them in person and they demand a moment of silence, they're so beautiful. I'll bet your morning ritual is peaceful and pretty.
ReplyDeletethis is glorious. it's either lilac or hollyhock as my favorite flower and I can never decide. today it's hollyhock.
ReplyDeleteI remember hollyhocks at my grandmother's when I was a small child; I've been unable to grow them, however. Fabulous images...beautifully connected with Dylan Thomas poetry!
