Optical illusion: Do you see it, too? |
I was sitting for a moment on our patio a few days ago and noticed that this reflected tree appeared to be growing up through our house, out the roof, and up into the sky.
I've grown very fond of Skywatch; knowing that it's coming every week makes me look everywhere for sky photo possibilities--even when the sky is reflected in windows. To see more skies of all kinds from all around the world, check out Skywatch Friday.
Oh Clair, I love it!
ReplyDeleteIsn't photography fun? I think it sharpens the eye to the smaller details of life, or things that perhaps would otherwise be missed. Or perhaps we've always noticed those things, but having the camera just gives us the opportunity to capture them! Have a nice southern NM day!
Looks like it to me !!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shot. You have captured this perfectly.
ReplyDeleteOh my, you must have been alert to see this, great capture.
ReplyDeleteIt does indeed look like it is growing through the roof! What a fantastic capture, Clairz! I love it! And isn't it fun to be able to see such beauty in the skies? I see so much more these days than I did before I got involved with Sky Watch! Keep looking up, always love your pics! Enjoy your weekend!

That's wonderful Clair! You have a great eye! When I was a little girl there was a house with a real tree growing through the roof of the porch (this was in Spokane Washington). It has stuck in my mind for all these years (centuries?)....
ReplyDeleteYours is better though!!! You don't have to worry about rain coming through the hole the tree makes ;>) (

That is the coolest shot, Clair---I love it! We once built a deck around a tree. It was right in the middle, and it was lovely to be under its shelter on a hot summer day.
ReplyDeleteYou definitely had me at first...I hand to really look to see what the scoop really was with this one. Great shot, Clair! I always look forward to your Skywatch.
