Way back on September 12, 2001, I woke up and was amazed to find that I was still alive.
On every September 12th since that horrendous year, I wake and find that I am always glad to be among the living.
Here is what I saw this year, on that thankful morning.
You could say that I saw nothing special, just a blue sky with nice clouds.
Or, you could say that I saw the most miraculous sky that anyone had ever seen:
A sky that brought tears to my eyes.

It's an outstanding sky in your delightful photos. Sky as only seen in the Southwest.
Those photos are just beautiful. We have so much to be thankful for.
Very lovely, Clair... word & images.
I feel exactly the same way, Clair, and although I woke up to very gray skies this morning, my first thought was that I was alive, my children are alive and well and I live in a wonderful country regardless of the crappy politics! I, all of us, do indeed have so very much to be thankful for on this morning regardless of the color of our skies. Marvelous post for the day and your skies are indeed breathtaking! Have a wonderful weekend!

I love looking up. I'm always taking shots of the clouds. Just for me.
Great sky shots!
Beautiful views of the sky. The cloud formations are amazing.
Gorgeous photos, Clair. I found your title and sentiments rather appropriate for the week, but the pictures are just as inspiring.
I am always thankful for being alive. Your sky photos are beautiful love the pretty clouds.
These almost look like and oil painting.
Perfect picture, perfect words. We were all so much kinder that day.
I can understand that. I still remember the feeling of that day.
