Little Skywalker for Skywatch

The little paw prints on this sand dune at White Sands National Monument just seemed to walk right up into the blue sky. You can click twice to enlarge.

For sky photos from all over the world, be sure to visit Skywatch Friday.

What a terrific shot, Clair! Gorgeous blue skies and I love the white, white sand! The footprints are the perfect touch and how fun that you were able to capture them so perfectly! It's like the end of the world in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader - or what my imagination gives me when I read the book. I haven't seen the film yet.

Wonderful, perfect shot! It is such a great place for the photographer. The one time we were there it was fall and still hot. Your shot moves it higher on my places to return to.

We camped there many years ago with our then-small children. We all loved it.

Have a safe and joyful New Year's eve celebration, and may 2011 be kind to you with good health, good cheer, and with much happiness and laughter!

Becky, it was a crazy one day trip because my son had to be on a plane to NY early the next morning. Of course, that was the day that he got as far as Chicago and ended up coming back to NM since he couldn't get to NY because of the blizzard. Oh, well, lots of driving, lots of fun!

Love this image! And thank you for telling me about your breakfast adventure!!! I think a book about breakfast adventures would be a great addition to travel literature.
