Hummingbird Skies for Skywatch

Blurry, but my first time capturing three at once

Because of the drought here, the plants that would normally provide food for our hummingbirds aren't blooming. We have been encouraged to keep our feeders filled up, and my little friends let me know if they are starting to run on empty.

To visit skies around the world, be sure to check out Skywatch Friday.

That is an amazing photograph. I've never seen so many hummingbirds at one feeder.

Wow! Happy birds! Looks like it's almost time for a refill. After 3 days of afternoon winds, ours is supposed die down here- hopefully the same for you so it doesn't blow out all the liquid!

Oh, happy birds indeed! What a terrific capture, Clairz! I don't think I've ever seen that many at one feeder either! Wonderful! Have a great weekend!

Even though we are only 5 hours up from you.....we just saw our little hummer friends for the first time yesterday. Yay the hummers are here. And we got a little moment of snow flurries too.

Marvelous capture! Sorry about your draught. . .but thanks for sharing these dear ones.

Oh my GOODNESS! Your header photo is absolutely *gorgeous*! And great job on the hummingbird capture - isn't it so exciting when they come around? The ones around here tend to get rather aggressive and territorial over the feeders and buzz each other like dive-bombing airplanes to protect their food source. lol

So...I left you a comment on my blog, but I'm not sure if you saw it. Were you serious about spinning some Kai fiber? Absolutely no strings attached (and no pressure if you don't have the time) - I would love to send you some of her pretty fur if you're interested.

Those little critters move so fast, I would expect the photo to be blurry!

THE SKY’S A MOST WONDERFUL THING

The sky’s a most wonderful thing,
Within it some strange creatures sing:
The angels and such;
But dragons? Not much—
They’d rather breathe fire and take wing.

Hey there...did you ever get the comment that I left last week, about loving your *gorgeous* hollyhock header photo and asking you if you were serious about taking some of my Kai llama's fiber for spinning?
I don't see the comment here, but maybe you chose not to publish it? Or maybe, just maybe, stupid Blogger ATE it. Anyway...something's amiss, I'm just not sure what. :-)

Danni, Blogger ate it. I remember getting a notification, and then it disappeared. And then the thought also disappeared from my head, although I was excited about the idea of spinning some of that cool fiber.

Now I see that Blogger won't let me access your profile. Could you send me a message on Facebook (Clair Zarges) so that we can work out the details? Sorry to be so circumspect, but I have a weird commenter here and don't want her to have my info.

Thank you! Excited to do some spinning again.
