We've only lived here in eastern New Mexico, right on the western edge of Tornado Alley, for a couple of years. When we get scary skies, I start to feel anxious and start scanning for the greenish tints that mean watch out! Take shelter!Was the sky really this green on the stormy day when I took this shot? No, but this is just exactly how it felt to me.

Beautiful shot, Clariz! Fantastic clouds and I do remember being aware of green tints from my days in Texas and it's tornado alley!
Luckily we don't have tornados in Sweden, but I can understand your anxiety about that. I hope you don't have to experience too many tornados during your time in New Mexico!
Tornado alley sounds scary. We only get hurricanes here (and I say only because I think tornadoes are somewhat worse - albeit in a narrow swath.)
My daughter moved to TX a few years ago & she gets anxious when the storm clouds start gathering too! Beautiful photo & I LOVE your header!!

Wow. Yes that's not something you want to see in the sky - when the clouds start to pile-up like cars on the interstate in a Maine ice-storm. I only saw those green clouds of a tornado once while visiting Iowa. . . never want to see it again. Nice photo. Stay safe.

That is indeed an ominous sky, Clair, but still quite beautiful. We had a number of tornados in eastern North Carolina where I used to live, so I can relate to the feeling of foreboding when storms are threatening. By the way, your header sky is amazing.
That sky is gorgeous but would scare me too.
