On Saturday, June 12, the coolest people in town were those who were rafting, laughing, and paddling their way down the Rio Grande. Next year, Beez and I have promised ourselves, we'll be floating down the river with them.
JC, I wasn't so much thinking of the raft as the coolness, so I was picturing some tubes roped together and parts of me dangling in the water. One tube for me, one for Beez, one for the cooler, plus more tubes for anyone else that wants to come along. Something like that.
Every year there is a fun contest on the Rio Grande in Albuquerque where folks create home made rafts and 'race' down the river. The creativity of some of the rafters is hilarious!
