Along the Road in California

Here are a few scenes from our recent road trip to California...

Date palms

Joshua trees

The best part of a hot driving day

This photo is special to me because it shows the turnoff to Marinwood, where I spent some of my childhood

And you know where we're headed from here. Stay tuned...

Very nice. It's been a very long time since I've been to California and San Fran. Enjoy!

I always think of you as living back east" before you went to NM...didn't know you had grown up in CA. Looks like a great roadtrip and I'm sure you're having a wonderful time in the loveliest city in the state (or maybe almost anywhere!)

Sallie, I was born in Maine, moved to California with my parents when three months old, lived there until 21 years old and moved to British Columbia, Canada. Moved to Washington state for a decade or so before moving to New Hampshire, where my husband and I lived for over 20 years. Except for part of a year in Connecticut, we have lived in New Mexico since then. We call it the Ten Year Tourist Plan--seeing new places for long enough to really get to know them!
