A New Englander moves to New Mexico
Beautiful photo and haiku. My big sister is so talented!!The photo at the top of your blog brings a smile to my face every time I see it. Is that Cody, Leny, Petey and Weetz I see glowing at you?
Emma is there somewhere too, Auntie. Somebody blinked. I love that Cody was captured on his favorite windowsill.
Wow! Love that and miss all y'all...
Very nice photo and words.
Love your haiku and what a glorious way to begin the day! Breathtaking capture for the day, Clairz! I do hope you have a great weekend! Enjoy!Sylvia
those colors are the reason so many painters and photographers love New Mexico. awesome!!! happy SWF Clairz.
Beautiful haiku, sadly true. BUT that sunrise is phenomenal! thanks for sharing the beauty through yours lens, Clair.
love the fiery nature of this skywatch image. My sky is here
Beautiful shot.Happy sky watching.Liz @ A Simple Life
I'm thinkin' that the State of New Mexico ought to hire you for PR purposes. This is just spectacular, Clair--postcard perfect, but not sentimental.I kind of know how you feel about broken cloud promises, too.
Beautiful picture, frightening words Clair. When will you ever get rain? Our skies are rather uniform gray-blue again, so at first I was thinking I envied you. But then I read what you said and decided I could live with mine quite well.
What a lovely sight to start the day! Love it.

Beautiful sky and photo. The desert has a way with skies, doesn't it?
Beautiful shot - I love it when the clouds are lit from beneath like this.
nice photo!! so pretty. hope you enjoy the waffles!!! if the batter seems to thick at an extra tablespoon of milk. with the fresh flour i needed less liquid but i never tried it with store bought wheat flour. let me know how it turns out!
Gorgeous photo! Our monsoon season started off well, but it seems to have dried up already. No rain for the past week, although we see clouds and hear thunder. The little bits of green grass have turned brown and some odd purple weed is sprouting in the pasture instead. sigh.We need steady rain so badly here in New Mexico.~Lisa
Lovely blog.Joyce M
